SAP CAP: Cloud Application Programming Model
CAP is the SAP framework for building business services and applications on BTP from a declarative CDS model. This course covers it end to end: data definition with CDL, queries with CQL, logic with functions and actions, external service integration, UI with Fiori Elements and deployment to Cloud Foundry on HANA Cloud, with a lab, an assignment and a test in every block.
What you will learn
By the end, you will be able to do this
- Create and structure a CAP project with the CDS CLI
- Model data with CDL: entities, types, aspects, associations and compositions
- Query data with CQL and embedded queries in the handlers
- Implement functions and actions, bound and unbound
- Integrate and expose external services (OData, REST, GraphQL)
- Build user interfaces with Fiori Elements through annotations
- Deploy to Cloud Foundry with MTA, HANA Cloud and HDI containers
- Set up a local development environment with Node.js

Frequently asked questions
How do I get access to this course?
With a Logali Tech subscription (courses are not sold individually). The Free plan opens the first three sections of every course; Standard and Premium unlock the full course. See Pricing.
Do I need my own SAP instance?
Logali Tech does not provide access to SAP systems. In most of the training you do not need your own license: hands-on work is done on a free SAP BTP Trial account that you create, and the course walks you through setting it up step by step. For the On-Premise courses (classic ABAP, Web Dynpro, ALV, Adobe Forms and Fiori administration) you can run the free trial system that SAP makes available (ABAP Cloud Developer Trial) on your own infrastructure, or use the SAP system in your own company environment.
Are there live classes?
Recordings are available 24/7. Live classes and live master programs are included in the Premium plan.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. When you complete the course you earn a certificate of completion that you can add to your LinkedIn profile.
