SAP ABAP RAP: Cloud Architecture
RAP is the programming model used today to build business applications in ABAP Cloud, from the data model to the OData service exposed to Fiori. This course covers the full RAP stack (CDS Business Objects, Metadata Extensions, Behavior Definition and Implementation, EML, validations, determinations and virtual elements) with a guided lab, its assignment and its test in every block.
What you will learn
By the end, you will be able to do this
- Model active and draft persistence for a RAP Business Object
- Build Business Objects with CDS (root, interface and consumption)
- Define the UI layer with Metadata Extensions and expose OData Business Services
- Write behavior with Behavior Definition (managed, locks, ETag, actions)
- Implement logic with Behavior Implementation and EML
- Apply global and instance authorizations with their messages
- Program On Save and On Modify validations and determinations
- Add virtual elements with SADL Exit

Frequently asked questions
How do I get access to this course?
With a Logali Tech subscription (courses are not sold individually). The Free plan opens the first three sections of every course; Standard and Premium unlock the full course. See Pricing.
Do I need my own SAP instance?
Logali Tech does not provide access to SAP systems. In most of the training you do not need your own license: hands-on work is done on a free SAP BTP Trial account that you create, and the course walks you through setting it up step by step. For the On-Premise courses (classic ABAP, Web Dynpro, ALV, Adobe Forms and Fiori administration) you can run the free trial system that SAP makes available (ABAP Cloud Developer Trial) on your own infrastructure, or use the SAP system in your own company environment.
Are there live classes?
Recordings are available 24/7. Live classes and live master programs are included in the Premium plan.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. When you complete the course you earn a certificate of completion that you can add to your LinkedIn profile.
