What it is and why it matters

Official WordPress repository with skills that teach an agent the conventions for blocks, themes and plugins. A Lytbox tutorial installs it alongside an MCP to work on a local WordPress, using a CLAUDE.md file as rules and a snippet-management plugin to contain generated code. The advice is to start locally with small tasks before touching a real site.

Key points

Skills maintained by WordPress, installable globally to reuse across sites

Aimed at improving the agent's output for blocks, themes and plugins

Where we saw it

Jeffrey @ Lytbox 2026-06-10 The tutorial installs the official WordPress skills (preferably globally) so Claude Code works better on a local WordPress, alongside an MCP and a CLAUDE.md rules file. Use Claude Code in WordPress Locally (The Right Way!)
