Turns a book PDF into a queryable skill

  • 23k

  • Python

What it is and why it matters

A tool that reads a technical book PDF, splits it into chapters and packages it as a Claude Code skill (with chapters, glossary, patterns, a cheat sheet and the skill.md itself). An AI Made Simple video shows the full flow: ingestion with extraction modes, a security scan and per-chapter queries, so the agent answers from the relevant chapter without loading the whole book. It requires supplying a PDF you have rights to and keeping the output private for copyright reasons.

Key points

  • Splits the book into chapters and generates a glossary, patterns and cheat sheet plus the skill.md
  • Querying per chapter saves tokens versus dumping the whole book into the session
  • Includes a security scan of the skill before it goes live; MIT and compatible with Claude Code, Codex and others
