Video and image generation leaves the walled garden

AI media creation had its year, and much of it happened in the open. ComfyUI has established itself as the modular node-based backend for image and video diffusion models. Remotion lets you generate video programmatically with React, which fits automated pipelines perfectly.

On top, agentic systems that orchestrate the whole process have appeared: OpenMontage bills itself as an agent-driven video production system with several pipelines, and MoneyPrinterTurbo generates short clips from a topic with an automated flow. For editing, OpenCut offers an open-source CapCut alternative.

What matters for a technical team is not the viral clip, it is that these pieces are composable: you can chain script, voice, images and editing into a reproducible pipeline. That is the pattern that counts, beyond any single tool.
