Master's in BAIP (BTP) - Pipelines CI/CD

Automate the full lifecycle of your SAP BTP applications. In 3 weeks you build, end to end, the machinery professional SAP teams rely on: Git repositories connected via webhooks to the SAP Continuous Integration and Delivery service, governed transport across subaccounts with SAP Cloud Transport Management, and monitored operations with SAP Cloud ALM and Alert Notification.

It is the natural companion to the Master's in BAIP (BTP) - Platform Administration: if you already administer the platform, here you learn to make deliveries happen on their own, with quality and traceability. The content maps to the DevOps and continuous delivery areas covered in the official SAP BTP administration and development certifications.

  • 3 live 90-minute classes, one per week (Tuesdays)
  • Intensive specialization format: a real pipeline up and running by the end
  • Core technology: SAP BTP (SAP Continuous Integration and Delivery service and SAP Cloud Transport Management)
  • Hands-on work on real CAP and SAP Fiori projects with Git and GitHub
  • Content aligned with the DevOps areas of the official SAP BTP certifications

The journey, class by class

Each week you build on a real application. The journey ends with a final project and certification preparation.

  1. Live class 1

    1st ed. Nov 24, 20262nd ed. Apr 13, 2027

DevOps on SAP BTP and your first pipeline

From uploading files by hand to delivering with a push: this is how a modern SAP team works.

    View content
    • Continuous integration and delivery principles applied to the SAP world: why manual transport does not scale and what a pipeline solves
    • Git and GitHub as the backbone of the flow: repositories, branches, commits, pull requests and a branching strategy for SAP teams
    • Subscribing to and configuring the SAP Continuous Integration and Delivery service in your subaccount: entitlements, roles (Administrator and Developer) and repository credentials
    • GitHub webhooks against the CI/CD service: payload URL, secret and automatic build triggering on every push
    • Your first pipeline on a real project: pipeline types (SAP Fiori, CAP, MTA), jobs, stages and execution log analysis

  2. Live class 2

    1st ed. Dec 1, 20262nd ed. Apr 20, 2027

    Cloud Transport Management and artifacts

SAP's classic transport, reinvented for the cloud: nodes, routes and transport requests.

    View content
    • Transport architecture on SAP BTP: DEV, TEST and PROD subaccounts, and the role of SAP Cloud Transport Management as the control tower
    • Full service configuration: instance, service key, deployment destinations and transport roles (TmsAdmin, ImportOperator, ExportOperator)
    • Transport nodes and routes: landscape modeling, source and target nodes, import queues and approvals
    • Transport requests for MTA artifacts (mtar files) and content (SAP Integration Suite, SAP Build Work Zone): what gets transported and how
    • Integrating transport into the pipeline: the Release stage connects SAP Continuous Integration and Delivery with Cloud Transport Management to automatically promote whatever passes the tests

  3. Live class 3

    1st ed. Dec 15, 20262nd ed. Apr 27, 2027

    The complete pipeline and operations

From commit to production without touching a thing: the end-to-end pipeline, monitored and governed.

    View content
    • A complete pipeline for a CAP and SAP Fiori project: MTA build with MBT, automated tests, deployment to Cloud Foundry and promotion across environments via Cloud Transport Management
    • Advanced job configuration: Build, Additional Unit Tests, Malware Scan and Release stages, and per-environment configuration variables
    • Operational notifications with SAP Alert Notification service: subscriptions, conditions and alerts by email, Slack or Microsoft Teams when an import fails
    • Monitoring the delivery flow with SAP Cloud ALM: transport operations, change traceability and the health of deployed applications
    • Governance best practices: who approves what, segregation of duties between development and transport, and how to present the model to a client or your own team

Final project

Final project and specialization path

You finish the program with a real pipeline running end to end on a CAP and SAP Fiori project: from commit to deployment on Cloud Foundry with governed promotion across environments via SAP Cloud Transport Management, operational notifications and monitoring with SAP Cloud ALM.

It is the natural companion to the Master's in BAIP (BTP) - Platform Administration and strengthens a specialization path in BTP administration and development: you gain hands-on DevOps and continuous delivery skills directly applicable on real projects, aligned with the DevOps areas covered in the official SAP BTP certifications.
